LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville men's basketball head coach Rick Pitino spoke with the media on Wednesday afternoon, providing them with an update surrounding the program.
Pitino, who will be entering his 14th season at the helm of the program, is leading the Cardinals into their first year in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The Cardinals are coming off a season in which they reached at least the NCAA Sweet 16 for the fourth-consecutive season and capped the year with a 31-6 record that included American Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament titles.
Pitino discussed the status of the incoming freshman as well as the development of the team's returnees. Among the specific players, he noted expectations for Montrezl Harrell, Chris Jones' improved speed, Wayne Blackshear's more assertive demeanor, and Akoy Agau bolstering the team's frontcourt.
