LOUISVILLE, Ky. - A new three-dimensional virtual seat model of the downtown Louisville Arena currently under construction is now available online at www.UofLarenaseats.com. The University of Louisville's men's and women's basketball teams will move their home court from Freedom Hall to the new arena to start the 2010-11 season.
The 3D seat model software provides fans an opportunity to see a simulated view from all sections in the arena. Fans can click on a section and use the viewing tools to pan the viewing angles from that specific area and see additional information on that section.
"We're thrilled to be able to offer this state-of-the-art feature to our arena website," said Lisa Crespo, U of L Associate Athletic Director for Development. "Not only will it aid our fans in selecting seats using this virtual model, but all can see exactly where they'll be sitting from their computers. The 'know before you go' technology allows us to prepare our fans for seat selection more efficiently while enhancing the entire experience."
The virtual model will be used by season ticket holders to select their seats beginning in April. Season ticket holders and donors were mailed postcards this week with information on the site.
