LOUISVILLE, Ky. - In the University of Louisville men's basketball team's second intrasquad scrimmage of the preseason, the Red Team posted an 85-74 victory Sunday night in front of more than 9,000 fans at the KFC Yum! Center.
Junior Luke Hancock led all scorers, registering 29 points for the Red Team behind 7-of-13 shooting. Hancock, who sat out last season after transferring from George Mason, was 4-of-4 from 3-point range and a solid 11-of-12 from the charity stripe. He also dished out six assists and had two of the team's 14 steals.
Kevin Ware and Montrezl Harrell also finished in double digits in scoring for the Red Team, tallying 22 and 20 points, respectively. Ware, who had 10 rebounds to earn a double-double, scored 20 of his points in the final period. Harrell, a highly touted freshman that spent the summer with the 2012 USA Basketball Men's U-18 National Team winning a gold medal, recorded a game-high five steals and was 9-of-13 from the floor.
The White Team had five players reach double figures in scoring, led by Russ Smith's 20. Despite leading by six at the half, 42-36, the White Team shot just 9-of-33 (27.3 percent) from the field in the final period, including 2-of-14 from beyond the arc. Tim Henderson, who played nearly all 40 minutes, scored 11 points and had two steals. Chane Behanan and Gorgui Dieng combined for 24 points and 21 rebounds for the White Team.
Luke Hancock posted a game-high 29 points in addition to six assists and two steals.

Combined, Louisville knocked down 13 3-pointers and shot 75 percent (40-of-53) from the free-throw line.
The Cardinals' final intrasquad scrimmage of the preseason will be held Saturday, Oct. 27, at 2 p.m. Tickets, which will be priced at $10 for lower side and corner arena seats and $5 for end zone seats, are currently on sale at both U of L Ticket Offices, located near Gate 2 of Papa John's Cardinal Stadium off Floyd Street; and on the third floor of the Swain Student Activities Center. Both locations are open weekdays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Cardinal fans may also purchase tickets by visiting Ticketmaster online, calling 1-800-745-3000 or by visiting any Ticketmaster Ticket Center, including statewide Kroger locations.
