Freshman Year:

  • Seventh-highest freshman scorer ever at Louisville (11.8 ppg).
  • Named to the BIG EAST All-Rookie team and was a second team Freshman All-America selection by collegehoops.net.
  • Ranked seventh in the BIG EAST in field goal percentage (.578), 11th in blocked shots (1.3) and his 11.8 scoring average was third highest among freshmen in the conference.
  • His 51 dunks were the second most ever in a single season at U of L (record: Pervis Ellison, 59 in 1987-88).
  • Had a team-high 15 points and seven rebounds vs. Morehead State and totaled 13 points, 8 rebounds and five blocked shots vs. Siena in the NCAA Tournament. He had 14 points and five rebounds against Arizona in the regional semifinals.
  • Named BIG EAST Conference Rookie of the Week on four occasions this season. He last was honored on March 2 after averaging 11 points, 5.5 rebounds as the Cardinals beat Georgetown and Marquette.
  • Had his two upper front teeth knocked out from an inadvertent elbow to his mouth in the first half at St. John's. The two teeth were reseated and wired in with a brace at NYU Hospital in New York.   • In the Minardi championship game against South Alabama, he totalled 24 points, five rebounds and three blocked shots (9-of-10 FG, 6-of-7 FT).
  • His team-leading 18 points against Morehead State in just 23 minutes of action was the third highest ever for a U of L freshman career debut.
