INDIANAPOLIS - The University of Louisville has been selected as one of 16 regional sites for the 2010 NCAA Baseball Championship at Jim Patterson Stadium beginning Friday, June 4 and ticket orders are currently being accepted for the event.

It marks the second straight year the Louisville baseball program will host an NCAA Regional and the third time it has hosted NCAA post-season games. Last year, the Cardinals won their first NCAA Regional at home with a title game triumph over Vanderbilt, while in 2007, Louisville advanced to the College World Series with an NCAA Super Regional win over Oklahoma State at Jim Patterson Stadium.

The field of 64 teams in the 2010 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, including the three teams that will join the Cardinals at the Louisville Regional at Jim Patterson Stadium, will be announced live on ESPN on Monday at 12:30 p.m. ET.

All session tickets for the four-team, double-elimination regional are $90 for reserved chairback seats, $66 for reserved bleacher seats, $54 for berm and standing room tickets, and $42 for U of L students.

The Cardinals enter their fourth straight NCAA Regional with a 48-12 record overall, setting a new school record for wins earlier this week in the BIG EAST Championship. Louisville won its second straight BIG EAST regular season title on May 22 before being eliminated in the semifinals of the BIG EAST Championship by eventual tournament champion St. John's.

Game times for the Louisville Regional at Jim Patterson Stadium have not been set at this time. All of Louisville's NCAA Championship games will be aired on KOOL 1570 AM in Louisville and online through CardsTV at www.UofLSports.com.
