CLEARWATER, Fla. - The 22nd-ranked Louisville baseball team's second round game at the 2012 BIG EAST Championship scheduled for Thursday night against Connecticut has been postponed until Friday because of rain.

The top-seeded Cardinals (39-18) and No. 5 seeded Huskies (30-25-1) are tentatively scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., ET on Friday at Bright House Field. Action in the USF-Pitt elimination game, the third of four games scheduled for Thursday, was halted in the top of the third inning (6:01 p.m.) because of lightning and remained in a delay when the decision was made to postpone the Louisville-UConn game until Friday.

The winner of Friday's Louisville-UConn second round game will advance to Saturday's semifinal round, while the losing team will return to action in an elimination game on Friday at 6 p.m.
