  • With their fifth straight win against the Hoyas, the Cardinals hold a 13-3 advantage in the all-time series with Georgetown.

  • The Cardinals improved to 22-0 this season when leading after the seventh inning.

  • Louisville is 17-2 this season when scoring first.

  • Cardinal batters were hit five times by Hoya pitchers on Thursday setting a new season high for Louisville.

  • In the last 10 games, Louisville's bullpen has allowed just one earned run in 29.2 innings pitched for a microscopic 0.30 ERA. They also have 36 strikeouts in that stretch.

  • Junior Justin Amlung won his fifth straight start and has pitched at least 7.0 innings in each of last seven starts.

  • With the win on Thursday, Amlung earned his 21st career victory, which places him tied for third on Louisville's career win list with Mike Shields (1975-78).

  • In his last four starts, Amlung has allowed only three earned runs with 35 strikeouts in 28.2 innings pitched for an ERA of just 0.94.

  • The seven saves for Self in 2012 place him tied for 10th on the Cardinals' single season save list with Kerry Griffith (1984).

  • With his two RBI on Thursday, freshman Zach Lucas has seven multiple RBI performances this season, the second most for Louisville.
