Louisville Head Coach Dan McDonnell
"Neither starter was very effective today and you can credit the offenses for a lot of that. It was disappointing that, after taking the lead in the first, we gave up that four-spot in the third. You can't give away free bases and you have to play clean defense. Hits are going to happen, but it's a lot easier to hit and score runs when there are runners on base and when you're opponent isn't commanding the zone and when they're not making plays in the field."

"The grand slam in the third inning really seemed to take the wind out of our sails. I've always challenged our guys and told them that everybody responds in college baseball and that's no different with a team as good as Ole Miss. It didn't shock me that Ole Miss responded, but I was looking for us to respond. It just became tough offensively for us because we weren't getting anything accomplished in any area of the game. We weren't real good on the mound and we didn't play great defense or even clean defense, so it became an uphill battle as their bats got going."

"The good thing for us is we get to play three games at home this weekend and we're looking forward to getting back out here on Friday. I expect a lot of this team. We're a competitive and talented group, so I'm sure they're hoping we could go play again tomorrow. We expect to play good baseball on Friday."
