Louisville Head Coach Dan McDonnell
"It was a frustrating weekend. After playing well on Friday and getting a quality start from Justin Amlung, we didn't execute yesterday or today and we paid the price for it. We built this weekend up to be similar to what we'd see in an NCAA Regional and if anything, we learned you must get quality starts on the mound and you must play really good defense. Those are the two areas where we fell short this weekend. Offensively, we competed alright, but against NCAA Regional competition, you have to pump the strike zone and you have to make plays in the field. Hopefully, we'll learn a lot from this weekend and it'll help us be better off in the long run."

(On the upcoming stretch of home games) "We have our first five-game week with two mid-week games and they're all at home, so that's big for us. We have Ole Miss, who is another NCAA Regional caliber team to start the week, so that will be a good test for us. We have our first night game on Tuesday in the opener with Ole Miss, so with the good weather forecast and temperatures in the 70's that day, we're hoping for a good showing from our fans. Hopefully, we'll be ready to play good baseball for the start of this nine-game homestand."
