2005: Was 2-4 with a 6.03 ERA in nine starts and 13 overall appearances. Twirled six scoreless innings, striking out a career-high seven, in combining on a shutout of Morehead (5/4). Earned his first win of the season with six innings of solid work, allowing two unearned runs on five hits and two walks, fanning four against MSU (4/27). Twirled a scoreless eighth, striking out one in win at Houston (4/10). Tossed two strong innings, allowing a run in win at WKU (4/5). Retired the side in order in the ninth against #1 Tulane (3/26a). Made 2005 debut one year to the day after his last outing after Tommy John surgery shut him down last season. Tossed three innings, allowing two runs on a hit and a walk, fanning one.
2004: Sat out the season with a medical redshirt. Made three appearances, two of which were starts before requiring Tommy John surgery. Gave up one earned in three innings against SDSU(2/21) in his college debut. Picked up the win against Illinois State(2/28), striking out five in 6.2 frames.
High School: Lettered in baseball for three years playing shortstop and pitching. Named All-State his senior year. Was an All-District shortstop three years, and pitcher for two years. Hit .570 with 15 doubles, six home runs and four steals, while logging a 5-3 record with a 1.47 ERA and 70 strikeouts as a pitcher.
Personal: Born 10/11/84 in Albuquerque to Gary and Debra Lynn. Is an only child. He is majoring in sports administration at U of L. A member of the AD and C-USA Honor Roll in his first term of college. His high school baseball coach Chad Kuhn is his greatest influence on him athletically. Collateral and Major League are his favorite movies. Watches Real World and Howard Stern on the tube. Mark Grace, Ryne Sandberg and Andre Dawson are his favorite athletes, and the Cubs and Cowboys are his favorite teams. Likes to eat steak and any form of potatoes. His three dinner guests would be Jessica Simpson, his grandpa Ray and Coach Kuhn.
