2014: Finished with a 9-1 record, a 3.40 ERA and 69 strikeouts in 76.2 innings pitched and 14 starts during second collegiate season. Improved to 9-0 on the season after striking out seven in six innings to lead Cardinals in clinching victory over Kennesaw State on June 7 in NCAA Super Regional. Remained unbeaten in collegiate career after allowing two runs on five hits with six strikeouts in seven innings in NCAA Regional victory over Kansas. Moved to 7-0 on the season and won his 12th game overall after allowing just one earned run on four hits with seven strikeouts in seven innings against Rutgers at American Championship. Won his sixth game of the season after striking out six and allowing only two hits in seven shutout innings against Cincinnati on May 17. Improved to 5-0 on the season allowing two runs on two hits in five innings against UConn on April 27. Won for the fourth time working a season-high seven innings allowing two runs on five hits with five strikeouts at UCF on April 18. Improved to 3-0 on the season after striking out six and allowing three runs in five innings at No. 7 Houston on April 13. Matched career-high with seven strikeouts while allowing one run on only two hits in six strong innings in first weekend start in victory over Xavier on March 30. Making second start of the season, allowed one run on three hits with four strikeouts in four innings while earning no-decision at Indiana on March 19. Made first appearance of the season and the first overall since April 28, 2013 with a start against Western Illinois on March 11. Had four strikeouts and allowed only one hit in three shutout innings to earn the win in the starting role on a staff day for the Cardinals.

2013: Named Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America after finishing with a 5-0 record, one save and a 1.31 ERA while making 13 appearances on the mound, including six starts. Finished with 58 strikeouts in 48.0 innings pitched. Suffered a no-decision despite allowing only two unearned runs on just four hits in seven strong innings at St. John's on April 21. Allowed only Improved to 5-0 after working career best eight innings and matching career high with seven strikeouts while allowing only three hits in dominant scoreless outing against Elon on April 14. Suffered a no-decision despite striking out career best seven in career-high 6.0+ innings and allowing only two runs on four hits at Cincinnati on April 7. Improved to 4-0 on the season after allowing only one run on two hits with six strikeouts and six walks in 5.1 innings against No. 15 Notre Dame on March 30. In first career start on the mound, struck out personal best six while allowing only one run in career long 5.1 innings of work to earn third win of the season in Cards' March 13 victory over Purdue. Made first career start at first base in Cardinals' March 9 win over Alabama. Struck out five for the fourth straight time while allowing only two hits in three innings of shutout relief against Alabama on March 8. Picked up first career hit with a pinch-hit single against Morehead State on Feb. 26. Entered in a tie game and pitched 2.1 innings of perfect relief with five strikeouts to earn second victory in second career outing. Struck out five in three shutout innings allowing only one walk and no hits while earning the win against Purdue in collegiate debut.

High School: Played four seasons of baseball at Defiance High School. Named to 2012 Louisville Slugger High School All-America Team. Selected as 2012 Division II Ohio Player of the Year. First Team All-State selection. Named District and League Player of the Year. First Team All-District and First Team All-League honoree. Ranked among the top 500 players in the nation by Perfect Game USA. Gatorade Player of the Year nominee. Hit .402 with four home runs, 38 RBI, 27 stolen bases, 14 doubles and 44 runs scored as a senior at Defiance. On the mound as a senior, was 9-0 with a 0.57 ERA with 121 strikeouts and two saves. As a junior, hit .486 with six home runs, 33 RBI, nine doubles, 15 stolen bases and 27 runs scored. Went 6-2 with a 0.90 ERA, 86 strikeouts and three saves on the mound as a junior. Also lettered three years in basketball as a small forward at Defiance. Earned Third Team All-State honors as a senior while also being named First Team All-League and First Team All-District.

Personal: Born Anthony James Kidston on May 18, 1993 in Bryan, Ohio. Son of John Kidston and Linda Everheart. Has one brother, Lucas. Undecided on a major at UofL. Biggest thrills in sports were playing in Cary, N.C., at the USA Trials, playing at East Coast Showcase and playing in the baseball state championships in Ohio. After college, he wants to play professional baseball. Person with the greatest influence on his athletic career is his dad because he was with him throughout his childhood. Hobbies and interests include playing PS3, riding four-wheelers and outdoor activities. Favorite movies include The Shawshank Redemption and Law Abiding Citizen. Favorite TV channel is ESPN. Favorite candy bar is Snickers. Favorite restaurant is Chipotle. Favorite team is the Cleveland Indians. Dad John played basketball at Indiana Tech.
