JUMP SCHOOL

This school will cover all four jump disciplines, high, long, triple jumps and pole vault. Campers will receive a session with a nutritionist and strength & conditioning coach.

THROWS SCHOOL

This school will cover all four throw disciplines, shot put, discus, javelin and hammer. Campers will receive a session with a nutritionist and strength & conditioning coach.

BEGINNER SCHOOL

This school will teach the fundamentals of track & field without an emphasis in any one event area. We will cover sprints, hurdles, jumps, throws and relays. We will place emphasis on proper warm-up and cool-down, nutrition, sportsmanship, positive attitudes and having fun.

HURDLES SCHOOL

This school will cover the fundamentals of hurdling including a video analysis, technical hurdle analysis, nutrition, hand-outs and a strength & conditioning plan ...plus drills, drills, drills!

CAMP STAFF

Warren Bye, Head Coach University of Louisville
UofL's Head Coach for competition in Hurdles, Jumps, and also Multi-events Athletes. Prior to coming to Louisville, Coach Bye trained several NCAA qualifying and All-BigTen student-athletes at Indiana University. While at Indiana; he initiated, coordinated and ran the Indiana Track Club. Bye is a former decathlete who specialized in the hurdles and jumps.

Kerry Zimmerman, Head Coach Corydon Central HS
A 1983 NCAA Champion in the Decathlon, Coach Zimmerman was a 26' plus jumper and a 7'2 high jumper at Indiana University. He has trained jumpers over 6'10 and 23' in the jumps at the high school level.

Manette Cheshareck, Assistant Coach - Throws, University of Louisville
In her first 2 years at UofL, Cheshareck coached 3 C-USA Champions. Prior to UofL, Manette spent 3 years coaching at Plainfield High School in Illinois. Manette was a 2 time All-SEC thrower at the U. of Florida after being a record holder & Illinois state champion in high school.

CAMP LOCATION

All camps will be held at the new Track & Field Stadium within the University of Louisville's Cardinal Park on Floyd Street. The state-of-the-art facility boasts:

  • Nine 48" Lanes IAAF Certified
  • Martin ISS 2000 embedded surface
  • Multiple Jump & Vault runways
  • Two High Jump pits
  • Lights & Daktronics Scoreboard
  • Locker rooms & individual showers
  • 3000 seating capacity
