UofL announces 2014-15 Student Advisory Committee
Louisville's three student-athletes in the pole vault event posted collegiate-best marks.
All five Cardinals will compete on Saturday.
The Cardinals had 14 top-five finishes in Lexington.
Louisville is sending 52 student-athletes to compete in Lexington this weekend.
2013-14: Competed in two indoor events (3,000m and 5,000m) and four outdoor events (800m, 1,500m, mile, and 5,000m) ... opened the indoor season at the Gene Edmunds Cup with a fifth-place finish and a time of 10:42.87 in the 3,000m ... finished in 17th place in the 3,000m at the Hoosier Hills meet, recording a career-best time of 10:41.52 ... competed in five meets during the outdoor season ... finished in ninth place in the 1,500m at the Lenny Lyles-Clark Wood Invitational with a career-best time of 5:00.65.
2013 Cross Country: Ran in one event, competing in the Greater Louisville Classic.
2012-13 Track: Only competed during the outdoor season ... ran in the 3,000m and 5,000m events ... took third in the 3,000m at the Lenny Lyles/Clark Wood Invitational.
2012 Cross Country: Competed in all six events ... finished second on the team at the Winthrop Invitational ... finished sixth at the Mid-America Opener (15:56.32).
Prep: Accomplished runner at Thomas Jefferson High under coach Paul Ruston ... was a three-time state qualifier in cross country ... named first team all-South Pudget Sound League in 2010 and 2011 ... also earned Washington state all-star status each of those two years ... named team MVP as a junior in 2011 ... tabbed team captain in 2010 and 2011.
Personal: Daughter of Robert and Sharon Kiyohara ... birthday is March 8 ... has two sisters ... one sister, Hannah, plays softball at Louisville ... majoring in exercise science.
