The University of Louisville swim team placed four swimmers in the top ten with four others earning second swims after prelims in third day of competition 2011 AT&T Winter National Long Course Championships at the Georgia Tech Aquatics Center.
Sophomore Gisselle Kohoyda had the best prelim outing for the cards with a third place in the 200-meter breaststroke with a time of 2:27.31. For the men, Carlos Almeida had the fifth fastest time in the field with a 2:14.43. Kameron Chastain made the C-final with a time of 2:18.50 and 26th overall.
Pedro Oliveira turned in the fifth fastest time in the 200-meter butterfly with a time of 2:00.09. For the women in the 200-meter fly, Tanja Killiainen was 29th with a time of 2:17.09. Freshman Abigail Chin missed the C-final by 1/100ths of a second with a time of 2:17.13.
Pedro Oliveira was also top ten in the 200-meter backstroke qualifying in the top ten with a time of 2:01.21, good for seventh. For the women, Eszter Povazsay was 21st with a time of 2:19.71.
