Swimming and Diving Set to Face Rival Irish at Notre Dame

The University of Louisville men and women's swimming and diving teams will travel to South Bend, Ind. this Saturday to face BIG EAST rival Notre Dame at 1:00 p.m., ET at Rolfs Aquatic Center.

The Cardinal men and women are currently ranked No. 16 and No. 19, respectively, in the latest CSCAA poll. Louisville's women will be looking to upset the Fighting Irish as they are ranked No. 18. in the nation.

Last season, the Cardinal men and women swept Notre Dame in Louisville at Ralph Wright natatorium. The Cardinal men prevailed 191-109, while the women won by posting a score of 188-112.

The Fight Irish women (0-2) will host Pittsburgh on Nov. 9 prior to the meet against Louisville. The Fighting Irish were defeated on Oct. 26 in their meet against No. 5 Auburn (132-166) and then suffered a narrow loss in the Nov. 2 meet against No. 24 Purdue (148-152).

The Notre Dame men (3-0) will also host Pittsburgh in a meet on Nov. 9 before facing Louisville. The Irish men are coming off an impressive win to start the 2012-2013 campaign. Notre Dame defeated Oakland (191-107) on Oct. 26 and Michigan State (178-120) on Oct. 27. The Fighting Irish then pulled off an upset victory against No. 18 Purdue on Nov. 2, winning 156-144.

Following the meet against Notre Dame, the Louisville men and women will travel to West Lafayette, Ind. from Nov. 16-18 for the Purdue Invite.
