U of L wins every event
Junior: During her junior year, Sara swam the second leg for the 400-medley relay B team against Pittsburgh and guided her group to a second-place finish (3:59.62). She also competed in the 100-breast at the BIG EAST Championships and finished with a time of 1:04.20.
Sophomore: During hersophomore year, Sara swam the 100- and 200-breast and the 200-IM for the Cardinals.She had a fifth place finish with a time of 1:03.40 in the 100-breast stroke in the BIG EAST Championship. She scored in the B-finalin the 200-breast with a time of 2:20.67.
Freshman: Sara Hartman made the B-final inthe 100-breast as a freshman at the BIG EAST Championship with a swim of 1:04.61.
Prep:Sara joined the Cardinal roster from Boyertown,Pennsylvania where she was coached by Linda Jones as a member of the Boyertown Area High School and Boyertown Navy Seals.She helped the Boyertown YMCA win the 2006 National Team Championship, placing second in the 200-breast with a 2:38.4. In 2008 Sara was runner-up in the 100-breast at theHigh School State Championships. She also received All- State, All-American, and MVP honors, all while serving as team captain of both her high school and national club team. Her favorite sporting memory is getting 2nd at the PA High School State Championships as a senior in the 100-breast after a challenging junior year.
Personal: Sara is the daughter of David Hartman and Susan Flanders. She plans to major in early elementary education. Born May 18, 1990.
