Freshman: Abby had a big impact for the Cardinals with her versatility in the distance events... At the BIG EAST Championships she was named an All-BIG EAST Performer... In her first BIG EAST final, she finished second in the 400-IM in 4:15.31 as a part of the Cardinals 1-2-3 sweep in the event... Abby doubled the last day of the championships by swimming the 200-fly and 1650-free... she posted a 16:52.35 in the grueling mile and finished in ninth place and bounced back to finish sixth in the 200-fly with a 2:01.18... During the dual meet season, she was a constant in the distance events finishing first in the 1000-free and second in the 500-free against UK... She also swam to three third place finishes in the dual meet against Tennessee.
Prep: Abigail Chin, an Olympic Trial qualifier, comes to Louisville from Todd Saltus and the Upper Arlington Swim Club. As captain of the Upper Arlington High School swim team, Chin helped lead the team to three state championship titles and is a 10-time All-American. Her best times include: 1:59.21 in the 200-yard butterfly, 4:20.55 in the 400-yard individual medley and 16:48.92 in the mile. Abigail is a Senior National semi-finalist and a Junior National finalist.
