Freshman: Brennen contributed to the breaststroke group, swimming the 100- and 200-breaststroke throughout the year, as well as the same stroke on numerous relays. Brennen had his best meet at Indiana, where he recorded his top regular-season times. He went 55.85 in the 100-breast and 2:00.53 in the 200-breast where he placed third. Against UK, he posted a top time of 1:54.74 in the 200-IM. At AAC's, he was able to drop both breaststroke times to 55.60 in the 100 and 1:59.13 in the 200, which was a B-cut. He went a 1:50.88 in the 200-IM.
Prep: Brennen Berger is from Carmel, Indiana where he attended Carmel High School, and competed for Carmel Swim Club. Berger holds the Indiana state record in the 200- breastroke, and has earned multiple All- American recognitions.
