Learning Specialist | Tutorial Coordinator


Stephanie Overberg is in her first year as Assistant Learning Specialist. She is responsible for providing intensive, essential learning strategies for at-risk student-athletes. She is also responsible for academic needs assessment for student-athletes with learning disabilities, as well as referrals for further testing by a licensed psychologist. In addition, Stephanie serves as the Tutorial Coordinator for the department.

Prior to this position, Stephanie obtained her Masters of Education Degree in College Student Personnel. During this time, she was a graduate assistant for the department working with various sports, such as football, baseball, men's soccer, women's lacrosse, women's golf, men's tennis, and women's rowing.

Stephanie is from the Louisville area and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Bellarmine University in 2001. She was a four-year letter winner and starting forward for Bellarmine's women's basketball team from 1997-2001. Overberg was also selected to the Great Lakes Valley Conference Academic and Athletic All-Conference Teams all four years and received the John T. Loftus Award for Academic and Athletic Excellence in 2000 and 2001. In addition, she scored over 1,500 career points as a Bellarmine Knight.

Stephanie currently resides in the Louisville area and has two boys, Austin and Brayden.
