Assistant Director of Academic & Vocational Services

Nicole Alderson is in her seventh year with the University of Louisville and third year as the Assistant Director for Academic and Vocational Services. She is responsible for overseeing academic support for women's field hockey, lacrosse and volleyball. She also assists with coordinating student-athlete development and serves as the advisor to the Louisville International Family Enrichment (L.I.F.E.) program for international student-athletes.

Nicole is very involved in the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A). Currently, Nicole serves on the N4A Membership Committee and is the Chair of the N4A Mentor Program. In 2009, Nicole participated in the N4A Professional Development Institute - New Practitioner Track.

Prior to 2009, Nicole worked as a graduate assistant with Louisville's Academic Services for Athletics. As a graduate assistant, Nicole's primary responsibilities were advising women's lacrosse, baseball and rowing student-athletes. In addition to her duties with specific teams, she also served as the Tutorial Coordinator.

A native of Carlisle, Ontario, Canada, Nicole was a four-year letter winner on the women's rowing team at Louisville. Nicole earned both her Bachelor of Science in Health and Human performance, with a double concentration in Exercise Science and Physical Education, and her Master of Science in Sport Administration from the University of Louisville.
