Assistant Athletic Trainer

Jordan Potts enters his first season as an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Louisville, where he works with the Cardinals' baseball program.

Potts joined the University of Louisville Sports Medicine Department after previous stints at the University of South Alabama (2011) and Auburn University (2009-11). While at South Alabama, he worked with the Jaguars baseball and football programs. Prior to working with USA, Potts spent two years as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with the Auburn softball program.

While at Auburn, Potts completed his Master's of Education degree with a concentration in Biomechanics in 2011. A native of Pleasant City, Ohio, he earned his bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Shawnee State University in May 2009.

Potts has done several internships with professional sports teams, including working summer camps with the Cleveland Browns in 2007-2009. He also has worked for the Atlanta Falcons in 2010 and did a summer internship with the Atlanta Thrashers in 2008. Potts is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and he also holds memberships with the Southeast Athletic Trainers' Association and the Alabama Athletic Trainers' Association.
