U of L to Provide Unique Social Media Experience for Fans During Allstate Sugar Bowl

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville Athletic Department is harnessing the power of social media to provide fans with an interactive experience during its football team's trip to the 2013 Allstate Sugar Bowl.

By bringing together multiple social media platforms including Ptch, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, fans will be able to both share and learn about the Cardinals' journey to New Orleans through a single web domain.

The innovative bowl game experience will unite photos, videos, and first-hand perspectives of a diverse group of attendees, including the football team, spirit groups, individual fans, families, and even members of the media. Open conversation will also be permitted from anyone using the accepted hashtags: #L1C4 #GoCards #UofL #Sugar2013

`#Sugar2013' is part of a greater combined partnership between the UofL Athletic and Academic sides of campus in conjunction with the University of Florida to unite behind a single hashtag for further increase of online traction. The web site domain will be housed within the Cardinal Athletic Fund (CAF) web site.
