Mascot/Spirit Teams Appearance Request Form | In-House Marketing
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - There is now an even easier way for University of Louisville fans to put a special Cardinal touch on a corporate gathering, special event or party to help make it unforgettable.
The process of hiring the national champion Cardinal cheerleaders and Ladybirds, Cardinal Pride Pep Band or beloved mascot, Louie, has been simplified with a new and easy to use on-line form found on the Cardinals' official athletic web site, UofLsports.com.
Those interested can choose which of the award-winning spirit groups they wish to have perform or appear. Providing details on the event will expedite a quicker response from a member of the Louisville marketing staff or a representative from the Cardinal spirit groups.
The Cardinal cheerleaders and Ladybird dance teams have combined to win more than 30 national championships, including 16 in the past five years. They are featured at nearly all U of L home athletic events, most prominently at football and men's and women's basketball.
In just five seasons under the direction of Al Greener, the Cardinal Pride Pep Band has become one of the most elite groups in the BIG EAST and the region, performing at more than 150 events and games during the 2010-2011 school year.
One of the most popular and visible components of the U of L Spirit Groups is the Cardinal mascot, Louie, and he is complimented by the newest member of the clan, Air Louie, a 10-foot-tall inflatable Cardinal mascot that was introduced to fans at the 2011 U of L Football Kickoff Luncheon.
The online form details the costs included in booking the various groups. Submission of the form represents a request only and does not guarantee an appearance. For planning purposes, athletics is requiring that all requests be submitted at least two weeks prior to the event.
