LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville will celebrate its impending move to the Big East Conference and honor league commissioner Michael Tranghese at a "Big East Block Party" on Tuesday, Aug. 24 at Fourth Street Live in downtown Louisville. The free event will feature talks from U of L President James Ramsey, Vice President for Athletics Tom Jurich, Men's Basketball Coach Rick Pitino and Tranghese. Also included in the event will be live and taped music, videos, and appearances by the U of L cheerleaders, Ladybirds and band. Food and drink specials will be available at local merchants. Entertainment begins at 4:30 p.m. with the program to follow at 5:15 p.m.
