Several student-athletes took time out of their summer studies and training to visit Camp Quality. Camp Quality is a non-profit organization dedicated to "fun therapy," bringing optimism and happiness to the lives of children and families affected by cancer.

The student-athletes visited the annual junior summer camp and participated in field day games and activities with the campers who ranged in age from 4 to 17. Activities included tug-o-war, elbow tag, relay races, and other games.

"Anytime we get to volunteer with kids, it's always a favorite among the athletes. We know we have a responsibility to be role models in the community and we are happy to do so. These kids were so excited to just hang out with us, it makes it worthwhile," said Women's Soccer student-athlete Kaitie McDonald.

Cardinal student-athletes logged over 4,500 community service hours last year alone as part of the CardsCare outreach program. The outreach efforts focus on community youth, health and fitness, and education.
