Cardinals Honored for Academic Excellence at Red and Black Banquet

The University of Louisville celebrated the Cardinals who show excellence in the classroom at the Red & Black Banquet Sunday Night.

The best and brightest were on hand as both individuals and teams were recognized for their efforts.

The U of L team with the highest team grade point average was the Field Hockey team for the women (3.487) and the men's swim team (3.008).

The outstanding senior awards for athletes with the highest gpas were both from the field hockey team as Casey Meizinger and Casey Diener took home the honors.

The National City Bank Scholars were also named as Paul Augustus of swimming and Casey Meizinger of field hockey earned scholarships.
