Put the Year of the Cardinal in Your Hands

The 2014 Maker's Mark Bottle

The newest bottle in the three-part series will help complete the Cardinal Athletic Fund's goal of raising an additional $1 million for the Academic Center of Excellence. This new facility will aid UofL student-athletes on and off the field as they strive to achieve goals in the ACC!

Louisville's proposed Student-Athlete Academic Center of Excellence is a key component to the continued growth of the Athletic Department. This $14 million dollar state-of-the-art facility will be prominently located at the south end of Papa John's Cardinal Stadium beneath the Norton Terrace, providing ease of access for all of the University's student-athletes. Housing individual tutor rooms, learning labs, and group study areas, this facility will impact over 750 student-athletes across 23 programs on a daily basis. Additionally, the Academic Center of Excellence will serve as home of the Athletic Department's academic services staff and community outreach programs.

The Maker's Mark bottles are designed to celebrate one of Louisville's greatest leaders, Vice President and Director of Athletics Tom Jurich. The uniquely designed bottle features the likeness of Jurich, who played an integral role in UofL's unparalleled development during the last 15 years. This third bottle in the Maker's Mark series will be the final addition for fans interested in completing their collection. The first of these bottles arrived in July 2012, featuring the image of Louisville's Head Football Coach at the time, Charlie Strong. The second in this series hit stores in June 2013 to commemorate Louisville's National Championship winning men's basketball coach, Rick Pitino.

A limited supply of bottles will be available for all fans to purchase in stores beginning in July. Full details are available in a special press release on GoCards.com. All purchases and requests should be directed toward participating locations.
